When there is no hotel to stay in Cebu during the Sinulog Festival, you can always depend on Hotel de Mercedes. It has lots of rooms available for both local and foreign tourists. Each room is equipped with the typical electronics—TV and aircon. Each room has comfortable beds and a private bath. Yes, this hotel’s rooms are quite good places to stay in after a whole day of touring the Queen City of the South. However, if you do not have enough budget, Hotel de Mercedes may not be the right place for you. During the peak season, which is in January, the rate goes up to US$33.33 from its normal rate which is US$21. Just this month, we stayed in Hotel de Mercedes but we had to transfer to a cheaper hotel because we were out of budget. Yes, US$33.33 is not that expensive, but there are a lot of hotels in the city that offers the same quality of rooms and service yet they have cheaper rates. [more] |
