Firefly's Charming Atmosphere
Firefly, in the Dupont Circle area, offers a contemporary take on classic American food. They use locally produced ingredients whenever possible and the freshness and quality of ingredients really shows in their food. I had a wonderful mushroom casserole when I went and my friend really liked his chicken pot-pie. The food is great, but the atmosphere is what really got me. It’s a small restaurant and it gets busy but rather than feeling crowded, it feels cozy. The best way to describe the décor is perhaps rustic and backyard-like. They have an indoor tree covered in lights that really brings the theme together. Also, and this is what I loved the best, they cover the tables with a sheet of white paper and provide you with crayons. A great way to pass the time while waiting for your food. [more] |
