Best Tandoori and Naan
If I’m around the tourist hotspot Central Market and hungry, I always head out to a Mamak (Indian Muslim) restaurant called Restoran Yusoof dan Zakhir. I guess Yusoof and Zakhir are the entrepreneurs but you’ll never be sure which ones they are when inside the restaurant. It offers very cheap and delicious food. I heard it has the best tandoori chicken and naan in the country – costs about RM7 ($2.50). The staffs are also friendly and speak English. But don’t venture out the back of the restaurant, which leads to an alley. The alleyway is not really clean, but the restaurant has some seating space out back, near the rear exit/entrance. So, people can enter from the back alley. If I were you, I’d sit right at the front which faces the Central Market. It’s cleaner and you can study people while eating. [more] |
