Four cuisines in one hip venue
The Hidden Restaurant & Garden Lounge has quickly become one of Santa Monica’s new hot spots. The menu features four different cuisines: Japan, Spain, Vietnam and Italy, all prepared by four separate chefs. The jungle-like outside patio is very romantic, but the dining room with its gold brocade walls and tear drop chandeliers also puts you in the mood for gourmet bites of mini brasato (slowly braised beef marinated in Italian Barolo wine) and assorted cured meats and cheeses. For dessert, the pineapple creme brulee is a must-tryl. It's a fairly high-end affair, but the food is great and the atmosphere strikes a balance between hipness and comfort. It's also a great spot for "up-and-coming celebrity" gazing if you're so inclined.
