Fish and Chips in a homey British pub
This cozy British pub lies just off of Santa Monica Promenade. The lived-in interior divides into a bar––a popular after-work pint stop for Santa Monica locals––and a dining room, smelling of fish, chips and beer in a nice way. If the weather permits, the terrace is a great spot to relax and people watch. As for food, I either order the bangers and mash (smoked sausages and mashed potatoes), the fish and chips, or the chicken curry. There is something about the casual hospitality at the King’s Head that makes you return, be it for happy hour, soccer games, trivia night, karaoke, or maybe just a game of darts one night, all by yourself.
