A historic landmark since 1976, Greystone mansion is the largest private estate in the history of Beverly Hills. Built by oil baron Edward Doheny for his family, the estate is owned by the City of Beverly Hills. The Victorian mansion and sprawling gardens serve as a venue for city events, musical performances, weddings, and have been the backdrop for many films, such as Spiderman, Air force one and Indecent Proposal. During summer, they serve “high tea” on the terrace, and as I'm a fan of murder mystery, I've attended their murder mystery dinner theater. It's $45 per person, but it includes a fancy three course prime rib meal (from Lawry's), wine, and dessert. You should book in advance.
