Fuente de Algarrobo (Fountain of the Carob Tree)
Algarrobo is a very small village in Spain; it belongs to the nearby town of Barinas, which is in the province of Abanilla, in the community of Murcia. I was exploring villages off the main road one day and came across this because there was a signpost directing me to Fuente de Algarrobo (Fountain of the Carob Tree). There is a natural spring coming from the mountains which has been directed to this Fountain. There is a fountain here where locals or anyone passing can fill up containers with natural free spring water. Whilst I was here, I did try some and it tasted very nice to me. On the opposite side of the road, there is a washing area, which is sourced by the spring water. I have been told that the locals actually do their clothes washing here. If you are touring around this area, it is worth driving off the main road to have a look at this interesting landmark.
