I have stayed in the Travelodge Hotel, Nottingham East Midlands Airport, Donington Park, just off Junction 23A of the M1 motorway, my wife and I had to stay for one night due to a late night flight we had been on. When I booked the room, I was a little dubious because Travelodge hotels used to have a reputation of being cheap and nasty. My room was a very good price at £19 per night, but it was nasty. In fact it was a very comfortable room, with a comfortable double bed. The furniture was nice and adequate and the bathroom facilities just right. Everything was fresh and clean on our arrival and the reception person was very helpful. We had a pre-booked breakfast, which consisted of a small box of cereals, fruit bar, biscuits, dried fruit and a drink. In the room was a kettle and tea and coffee and packet dried milk. This Travelodge is located in a small commercial complex, so you have access to a few restaurants, paper shop, small grocery shop, pub and gaming machines. For me this was just perfect to stay at, for a very reasonable price and ideally located for what I required. [more] |
