Hollywood & Highland
Located in the center of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard, the Hollywood & Highland center is a great hub for exploring the famous movie palaces, the Walk of Fame and other Hollywood attractions. The center itself is actually deemed the attraction that launched Hollywood's renaissance from its dilapidated state only a few years ago when tattoo shops, skimpy clothing boutiques and tourist shops had been grazing the area. As you gaze up at the five terraced levels of shops, restaurants and entertainment, you’ll see two soaring pillars topped with elephants. They pay tribute to the set of D. W. Griffith's classic movie Intolerance. If you turn to the back of the building, you can see the Hollywood sign, shimmering between two levels of the gigantic structure. The complex also houses the Kodak Theater, venue of the annual Academy Awards.
