Home of the San Francisco Giants
AT&T ballpark is the best Major League Baseball park that I have been to and I attended a game there, between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 4th, 2008. Without doubt I should have brought sunscreen as I got completely baked and had to heal for ten full days before I felt better, but the experience of going to this relatively new ball park was worth it. A couple pointers for you. There are some great photo opportunities near the main entrance with statues and plaques of former great players, including Willie Mays. Also, the view from the left field bleachers was enjoyable and I stood up whenever the ball was hit down the left field line, which made it easier for me to pick myself out of the sports highlights on TV that night. Apparently they are the largest wireless building in the world, so if you want to bring your laptop, go ahead! But don't mention that Barry Bonds is probably a juicer in this ballpark. There are still some true believers. [more] |
