I hated the Sakura Hostel Asakusa
I only have one travel tip regarding this hostel: AVOID IT.
Here are my reasons.
The hostel was crowded, especially the dorms which made me feel like I was a sardine. Loads of people were drinking at all hours as well, even first thing in the morning. The bathrooms weren't private by my definition, as the main one by my room had a see-through, semi-transparent curtain acting as a door. If you ever walked out of a stall with your pants unbuttoned the people in the hall would be able to see you.
I guess the Asakusa neighbourhood is very interesting but that doesn't redeem the hostel, especially since Tokyo isn't lacking in hostels at all.
Tip: try K's House instead. [more ]
