A Funky Pool Hall

 stars
Atomic Billiards is a basement pool hall in the Cleveland Park neighborhood. The walls have all been painted with 1950’s inspired space scenes. It’s a fun kind of décor and adds a lot to the atmosphere.

I’m not a huge fan of pool, but Atomic Billiards also has darts and shuffleboard so there’s plenty to do. Another big draw for me was their extensive beer selection. They have some fun ones on tap (Shiner Bock and Dogfish Head for example) and a really extensive selection of bottles. When I was there, the bartender was really knowledgeable and helpful with recommending something to drink. I really enjoyed hanging out here, which is saying something because I don’t generally like billiards. [more]
