A general tip about Belize Customs
Do not travel into Belize with ambiguous plans. I travelled toward Belize City from Mexico's Chetumal on bus and when I got to Belize's Customs they were very friendly with me and polite. Travelling kind of day to day, I did not have any concrete plans and wasn't even sure how long I wanted to stay in Belize. I told the customs agent that I would be staying a for five days, thinking I would get a visa stamp that was standard for 3 to 6 months. I was totally wrong.
