The best bar in Covent Garden!
The Cove is one of those places that people get introduced to rather than finding by accident and it's a real treat to stumble across. Compared to the other generic chain pubs, this has the feeling of a Cornish Members club! It is above the Cornish Pasty shop and you can order a pasty with your beer which is a real luxury. They have fantastic ales and drinks which you normally wouldn’t see outside Cornwall and the whole place feels like a Cornish bar, but they have managed to avoid turning the place into a theme pub. It’s a great place, with a huge balcony, but it is tiny inside so don’t expect to get a seat and be ready for a long queue for the loo! I still think it’s worth visiting though and it’s my favorite Covent Garden pub. [more] |

The Cove
The Cove is located in the heart of London's Covent Garden and is situated above the Pastie Company on the Piazza. I managed to get a spot out on the balcony which is not easy considering this place is quite small and cozy, but yet very popular. My spot afforded me great views of Covent Garden and was the perfect place from which to do some people watching. However it was the wide selection of real ales that made this place a good choice for the evening. There are quite a few pubs in convent garden but the Cove was definitely one of my favorites.
