Historic Vehicle Show
The Historic Vehicle Show which is held in May of every year in Dartmouth Park and Sandwell Valley, West Bromwich is an event that I have been to. Usually over 800 vehicles will be displayed, dating back to the 1920s. I have seen West Bromwich-produced Jensen cars, Jaguars, Fords, Jowett, in fact far too many to mention here. There are American cars, commercial vehicles, buses, motorcycles and fire engines and the list goes on. All the competitors are aiming to win prizes in their category. Attractions sometimes include Motorcycle Display Teams, collectors’ toy fair, ‘auto jumble’, craft fair, market, trade stands and Pat Collins Fun Fair. In the past, I have known that over 40,000 visitors attend the event. Everything is free. If you like historic old cars, this is a really good day out. I have discovered that the event for 2009 will be held on May 10th. It is always on a Sunday around this date in May of every year. [more] |
