Dartmouth Park
Dartmouth Park, West Bromwich is a park that I have been to on several occasions, usually to attend events or to enjoy the park with my Grandson. Dartmouth Park is very close to West Bromwich town centre and is open during daylight hours for everyone and anyone to use. Dartmouth Park is an historic park located between West Bromwich town centre and Sandwell Valley. It has got a wide range of floral displays, two lakes, a children’s play area and views of Sandwell Valley. I have recently found out that the park has won a UK National Lottery grant to do restoration work. Over the years, many of the original features in the park have been lost or altered. When I visited the park it did look as if it needed some upgrading and I think that once this is done it will be a great park again. It is a huge expanse of parkland, a lot bigger than any other town centre parks I have ever seen. It is within easy reach from Junction 1 of the M5 motorway. [more] |
