This is a MUST for anyone visiting Louisville and a reason in itself to go to Louisville. I'm not a fan of boxing, so almost didn't go to this, but it's not so much about sports as it is about inspiration and a human being remaking himself into something terrific. There is a great focus on ethnic and racial issues, respect of differences and conflict resolution. It's a great place to bring kids, but there are plenty of adults who need a good dose of what this center has to offer. There's a good restaurant on site, so plan to spend all day. And for those who are into boxing, there's also plenty of opportunity to "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." [more] |
