Torre Vigia (Watch Tower)
Torre Vigia is a tower located on the headland of the small town of Torre de la Horadada (Alicante province of Spain). It is a tower that I have looked at from the outside only because nowadays it is part of a privately owned residence.
In Spain during their various wars, they built watchtowers along coastal areas, obviously as a lookout point against pirates.
This watchtower was built in 1591 and was in use until the 17th century. [more]
