Bragança - Church of Santa Maria do Castelo
Located just next to Bragança's Castle, the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo has beautiful ceilings and interior paintings. The high altar and rich crafted inner chapels (some from the XVI century) deserve also a note. The entrance is clearly baroque, with two highly decorated Salomon (twisted) columns. The Church's origin though was Romanesque, but several restoration works done between the XVI and XVIII centuries, gave it a baroque style.
