Rillito Downs Park Race Track
If you're a snowbird (that is, someone who winters in Tucson) or even if you're not, Rillito Downs is a fun place to go. The racetrack offers quarterhorse, thoroughbred, and, at times, Arabian horse racing. Races are held during the months of January through March. I like the place during race time because it generates an excitement you can't quite find anywhere else. The attraction offers two restaurants, and post time is at 1:00 p.m., with races run every weekend. It's one of many reasons to spend the winter in Tucson. [more] |
