From shame to fame
The Steyne Hotel has risen in social standing over the past few years. Traditionally known as 'the drain' because it was the last stop shop for the intoxicated on a Satrurday night; the Steyne has seen a facelift through some solid renovations and is now a great place to meet mates, play pool, sing karaoke on Wednesdays, enter trivia competitions, have one or two beers, watch sport on tv, or get groped on the dancefloor (whatever takes your fancy). With a decent food menu, pints available in the front bar and probably the largest beer garden aside from the Wharf Bar in Manly, the Steyne is definitely worth a visit. While the drinks are slightly more expensive upstairs, the view of Manly Beach is hard to beat. [more] |
