Good Times in Yoyogi Park
Yoyogi is totally different from any of the other parks in Tokyo. It isn't sculpted, it isn't historical or zen, but it's where all the Tokyoites go to relax and take it easy. Yoyogi is a great place to be when the sun's shining - everyone's doing something fun. It's always full of people playing musical instruments, and on the weekends all the Japanese Rockabillies get together to dress up and boogey. There are also regular cosplay gatherings, and a flea market. There's always something going on and people are always happy. The park is really close to the trendy shopping district of Harajuku, as well as the revered Meiji Jingu shrine. [more] |
