The Unicorn
Located at the bottom of St Edwards street, one of the main thoroughfares of Leeks compact town centre, the Unicorn serves a wide variety of alcoholic drinks for reasonable, though not fantastic, prices. Often not all of the lagers are on tap, with Carling and Stella being frequently unavailable. The pub redeems itself by having friendly staff, an excellent and welcoming atmosphere, decent licencing hours, free play on the jukebox on certain nights and of course a pool table. The pub is divided into two rooms, with the the frontroom featuring the bar itself, a stage for live entertainment, an itbox entertainment machine and a big screen which shows major sporting events. The live entertainment tends to be of varying quality however, so retreating to the back room with it's settees and pool tables is also an option. [more] |
