Everglades Alligator Farm: The Perfect Animal Adventure
Whether you’re looking for fun in the sun or to salsa in South Beach, the magical city of Miami sizzles all year long. Of course, there are other attractions off the beaten path. Spend a day at the Everglades Alligator Farm in Homestead. Here, you’ll see thousands of alligators up close, enjoy fun shows, and have a fantastic time on the thrilling airboat ride. Also, you’ll learn about alligator actions and behaviors, something every tourist needs to know. Be aware that if you spend time near the waterways in Florida, expect alligator sightings. Many tourists visit Florida not realizing that alligators live in the freshwater lakes, rivers and canals. Alligators will travel out of the water in their search for food, and they do attack small pets. In recent years, the number of alligator sightings and attacks has nearly tripled. I personally don’t go near the water in Florida anymore. Not since I had a close call with a huge reptile while swimming in a lake near my home. Not all waterways have warning signs, so common sense is needed. You’ve got to be especially cautious anytime you’re near water. Don't miss a visit to the alligator farm if you are in Miami.
