Forever Good Times at The 78
The 78 is situated close to the park in Glasgow's West End, and dominates the pub scene in that part of town. With it's funky decor and excellent vegetarian food, it's the place to be on a sunny day, or whenever really, for that matter. It's renowned for it's brilliant Sunday night free jazz sessions (pretty much the only decent jazz in the whole city) and dub'n'grub on a Thursday is always worth a look too. There's usually something going on in the evenings, and they have a good selection of beers some of which are a little pricey now unfortunately. It's also worth checking out its sister establishments such as Mono and Stereo that are scattered throughout the city. [more] |
