My Vote for Glasgow's Best Fish and Chips
I never quite understood why all Scotland's best fish and chip shops are run by Italians, but Philadelphia is no exception. In my humble opinion, Philadelphia beats pretty much every other chippy in the city by miles, which has actually always bothered me since I usually get a craving when I'm in some other part of the city and end up walking miles because nowhere else will satisfy. The chips are the best, and consistently the best, of any place in Glasgow. Their fish is also amazing, especially the salmon if you can swallow your pride about ordering salmon in a chippy. They also do pizzas which I've never actually tried, but they look good if not life-changing. Service is always very friendly, though it's not the cheapest place in town by any means. [more] |
