Escape from the bustling city to New Farm Park
The 15 ha park has lots to offer: a rose garden of over 12,000 bushes, The Powerhouse arts centre, sports facilities from tennis courts to soccer grounds. The area near the children's playground is dominated by massive fig trees. Nearly 200 jacaranda trees decorate the park with their glorious bloom in spring and early summer time. Conveniently, the park is along the Brisbane River and therefore taking a CityCat ferry is one good option to continue the adventure towards the city centre - that is only three stops away.
