The Young Men Christian Association in Thika is situated in a very serene environment out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The Christian center provides accommodation services as well as varieties of sports activities for the youth. I frequent the facility’s swimming pool on Sundays afternoon, and the amount of fun that characterizes the place is indescribable. Young couples and their children grace the swimming pool where they get to enjoy swimming and snacks until sunset. The YMCA compound is generally quite and as usually the norm, a no smoking and no alcohol zone.
