Mwea National Park: Kenya’s Leading Habitat for Reptiles

 stars
The Mwea National Park is situated in Kenya’s Eastern province and the famous for the varieties of venomous snakes that roam the park, because of its rocky and sandy landscape. One of the park’s warden best captured the scenario by mentioning to us that the biggest wildlife human conflict in the park involve snakes. But it has never been lost to me that this was one of the first parks that I ever visited during my childhood. It is actually at the Mwea National Park that I ever got to see a hyena for the very first time. The park boasts quite a high number of hyenas as well as gazelles, warthogs, buffaloes and leopards. The interiors of the national park are best accessed with 4X4 vehicles because of rough roads. [more]
