Visiting The Pabst Visitor Center and Gallery at the Atlantic Center for the Arts
Located on the shores of the Turnbull Bay estuary in New Smyrna Beach the Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) sits back from the road in a secluded wooded environment on about 70 acres of land. A nature trail winds through the site. The Center for the Arts is an artists’ community that includes the Pabst Visitor Center and Gallery and the Leeper Studio Complex. Scheduled events open to the public featuring paintings, sculptures, writers, dancers and musicians take place at the ACA throughout the year. Admission to the Pabst Visitor Center and Gallery is free and open to the public. Ever changing exhibits by master artists are on display. Permanent exhibits include black and white photographs by Jack Mitchell, a local photographer of international acclaim. There are programs including metal working, painting and more available for a fee to both members and non-members of the ACA alike. The Pabst Visitor Center and Gallery is open to the public Tuesday-Friday 10 am – 4 pm. On Saturdays the Center is open from 10 am until 2 pm. [more] |
