Fill Up Your Coffee Mug At Flagler Avenue Coffee House
Flagler Avenue is the main drag to the beachside in New Smyrna Beach. It’s a narrow road with palms and planters lining the roadway. There are all sorts of boutiques, taverns, surf shops and businesses along this strip. One of my favorite stops is the Flagler Avenue Coffee House, the former Nichols Surf Shop. This is a little bungalow where both locals and day trippers meet to grab a muffin, a cup of coffee or even to eat a light meal of soups, salads or sandwiches. I like the muffins they serve, they’re low in sugar but still manage to be quite tasty! Coffee lovers will appreciate the flavorful coffees, espressos and lattes they serve at the Flagler Avenue Coffee House. There are other drinks too including hot tea, soft drinks, iced tea, fruit smoothies and lemonade. Beer and wine are also on the menu here. Muffins cost about $2.00 USD each. Sandwiches start at about $5.95 USD. Now I’m not a coffee drinker, but I like to walk on the beach that lies east of here and then come back for a cup of tea and muffin. The Coffee House is open daily from 6:30 am until 6 pm. On Fridays and Saturdays they stay open until 8 pm. This is a casual place, so shorts and a t-shirt are appropriate here. Parking is on the street (which is usually pretty full) or you can drive around the block to get to a parking lot at the back of the Flagler Avenue shops. [more] |
