Cheddar Gorge and Caves
Although this area of Somerset is only a few miles from Wookey Hole, it surpasses it as an attraction in every direction. Set against the quaint background of Cheddar, the town flows through the gorge and is able to boast beautiful, natural caves, rock climbing and of course cheese! Lined with cute shops and hundreds of places to walk, the town of Cheddar is a delight to visit. Parking however do to its location is a premium, and bad parking is not looked upon kindly. However, if you are prepared to walk a little there is plently of parking slightly out of town as it lines the road and all the rock climbing areas. So make sure you visit this small town that has such a famous name, Cheddar. [more] |
