Fiesta de San Juan in Menorca
This is celebrated at the end of June in the island. Supposedly it also takes place in some small towns but the main celebration is in Ciutadella. People appeared to be really keen on this feast and locals seemed to come from all places. The always deserted streets were crowded with people drinking “pomada” (the typical local drink made up of lemonade and menorcan gin) and having a good time. It really is a nice opportunity to mingle with people and to get to know the character of the locals.
