Cheap and cheerful I stay at the Travelodge almost every time I'm in Montréal, because it strikes a good balance between hotel quality and hostel prices. It's in a great location in the centre of town, but in spite of that it still has its own parking garage for guests with easy access. The reception is open 24 hours, so you don't have to worry what time you arrive in the evening (nights out in Montréal can run late in my experience). The rooms are nothing special, but they're clean and well-maintained, and if you're like me you won't be spending much time in the hotel anyway. I didn't try the restaurant so I can't comment on that, but certainly the other aspects of the hotel keep me coming back repeatedly, particularly the price and the location. [more]
