Truly stunning - a beautiful, tranquil pool villa overlooking verdant rice paddies
The owners of Rice Paddy Villa clearly put an enormous amount of work into designing this stunning and very beautiful Thai pool villa. It is accented with reclaimed architectural details such as old wooden pillars from traditional Thai houses and antique doors; its roof is in the Thai temple style with terracotta tiles, and the furnishings are carefully chosen in teak, including four poster beds. The floorboards too are in reclaimed hardwoods, yet the villa also nods to modernity with an ample, fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning throughout, a saltwater private swimming pool, and a media room with large screen satellite TV and good internet connectivity. Highpoints The villa was fully catered and the meals delicious. The Thai staff could not have been more graceful or helpful. The location is one of utter tranquility and complete privacy. The quality of fittings and furnishings. The boat trip on the lotus lake The private samlor and bicycles for exploring. The experience away from the crowds - and authenticity. Downsides? English is hardly spoken in the surrounding rice farming villages - although part of the charm of the location is that it is truly off the beaten track.
