Camp on the beach - Büsum
If you'd like to get away from très chique Hamburg and experience the down to earth Frisian life, get on the train and go to Büsum (2hrs). It's a tiny but friendly place by the sea and one of the few places around where one can enjoy Sunday shopping (during tourist season). Not much to do but count sheep, wade through the water, lie on the dyke and consume large amounts of fish - the perfect place to just relax. Rent some bikes and go up the coast. For camping I can recommend the Campingplatz Nordsee (www.camping-nordsee.de), it's a small camp site, well organized, clean, incl kitchen facilities, and it's right on the beach.
