Dalí House, Port Lligat, Cadaqués
The house of Salvador Dalí in the small fishing village of Port Lligat just outside Cadaqués is a fascinating museum which manages to really preserve the feeling that the artist may only just have left. The rooms have largely been left as they were laid out when Dalí lived here with his wife Gala and there are some wonderful examples of his eccentricity like the stuffed bear in the entrance hall or the same egg motif found on the Theatre-Museum in Figueres. Note also the phallic swimming pool.
