Kolkata - Rooftop restaurant
It's just occured to me that most of my restaurant recommendations in Rajasthan haven't actually been indian. I think that's becasue there's so many good local restaurants that you can't really go wrong. I ate from market stalls most nights and was never sick. It is amazingly cheap, tasty food and the best way to get chatting to locals. Hence I recommend western restaurants as their quality really does vary and it's handy when you find a good one !
