Casablanca
Casablanca, called in Arabian Dar el Bajda is a biggest metropolis in Morocco but a city of only minor tourist interest. That is because the city is much newer and more modern than the other great cities (Marrakech, Fes, etc.) and its medina is really small compared to the others. Nevertheless, Casablanca has some great attractions and quite nice modern city center with big squares and magnifficent, although pretty modern buildings. The greatest attraction is, of course the Mosque Hassan II, built on the sea coast and being the third largest mosque in the world. [more] |
