The Cable Car Untersberg
Not far from the Schloss Hellbrun, and on the same bus line, is the village of St. Leonhard. From here you can take a cable car to the summit of Mount Untersberg. At 1850 meters high, you have a breathtaking view of the town of Salzburg and the surrounding Alps. The more experience hiker can climb to the summit by a number of trails, or explore the mountains further from the summit. For those not so athletically inclined, there is a restaurant at the summit where you can have a bite to eat and enjoy the spectacular scenery. [more] |
