Gastronomy and the town of Quimper

. We rented a little flat and were able to shop at the local fish market for delicious fresh seafood which we cooked up in large quantities. We also ate copious numbers of crepes, the local specialty after all, and then worked them off by riding our bikes up hill and down dale. A very nice surprise was the city of Quimper which has a well preserved renaissance centre, complete with wooden-beamed houses which in England would be called Tudor but whose title here has eluded me.

Everywhere we go we are amazed by what a spectacular country France is, and by how varied the landscape is, which almost completely makes up for how infuriating the people can be sometimes! [more ]
