A traditional 1st December in Alba-Iulia
I spent my last first of December in Alba-Iulia, the ex-capital of Romania, also named the fortress of the Romanian union. I was very impressed to notice the difference between those people and the people living in other regions of the country. They all seemed to be feeling the joy of the union and were living each moment with high intensity, respect and moderations. They didn’t transform the event in a hooligan-like street manifestation but in a sober joyful moment that was supposed to be treated the way it had been hundreds of years ago. I think going to Alba-Iulia at the first of December could be an interesting experience for every person living in other regions of Romania. [more] |
