Ciudad Perdida
The Lost City is probably the craziest trip I have ever made, I thought it was going to be relatively easy to go there but now I am warning you, it is only for the adventurous, do not go if you are not in shape or if you have knee problems, since it takes about three days just to get there. A guide is needed of course, and you really have to love nature.
After a three day walk, the group of people going with us turned into a great community where we knew everyone. People there were really friendly, so try to be friendly too, since you are going to spend almost two weeks with them.
Anyway, you get to visit many villages and the most amazing thing of all, you get to see cocaine plantations which are of course illegal but everyone knows about them. Do not be scared, no one would do anything to you.
The site is incredible and you get to see the most astonishing views of the forest and the waterfalls. The ruins are not so great they are just foundation because the material they used to build was wood so all buildings are long gone.
The way back took us about 6 days… I am not going to lie to you; the last three days were hell. I just wanted my bed, my food, my bathroom etc.
