Located in the small town of Cochrane just outside Calgary is a little place called MacKay’s Ice Cream. Should you find yourself in this lovely little town on a summers day I highly recommend going for a cone. It really is almost a tourist attraction in itself. Of course they have a ridicules number of flavors, which is great because there is almost always something new to try. If you can get seating outside it’s a nice way to enjoy your cone, otherwise it’s a good opportunity to walk around the older section of town.
MacKay’s is pretty easy to find and if you’re there is summer time you can ask just about anyone going down the street or just look for the place with the line out the door.
Myself I usually get the smallest cone they’ll sell me when I’m there. This means that I’m often paying less than five dollars for this wonderful treat.
