Concarneau old town
Concarneau has a wonderfully preserved old town on an island in the gulf of the town, with only one bridge connecting it to the mainland. I can imagine the town has been unconquerable. Inside these walls there are thousands of small souvenir shops and restaurants offering typical Breton souvenirs and foods. It is possible and really recommendable to climb up the wall and have a walk above the old town looking both inwards to the old city and outwards to the harbour, the gulf and the new town.

Concarneau
Concarneau is a small and extremely beautiful town in Cornouaille, in Southern Brittany on the Atlantic coast, a wonderful place for a day trip from Quimper or anywhere in the region. It has a wonderful old town and almost equally beautiful new town, both having town centers and several nice pedestrian streets full of flowers and souvenir shops. Concarneau is also one of the places in Brittany, where one can enjoy the most marvelous views towards the Atlantic ocean and has one of the greatest natural harbours in Brittany.
