looking around BA
We took a bit of time last week to look around the city – wonderful colonial architecture and a very modern centre. Our own neighbourhood is comfortably shabby and full of places to get enormous cheap meals, as well as lots of squares to sit and have a drink and little cobbled streets with antique shops every two steps. We’re getting around on foot and by metro with the occasional bus thrown in, and we hired bicycles on the weekend to ride around the nearest big park which is actually an enormous swamp filled with dragon-sized mosquitoes.
