Dillingen (Saar)
Dillingen was the first city I encountered in Saarland. I expected a beautiful small city, having the tallest church in Saarland and two castles, at least something like that was written in the travel guides. But what was not mentioned there was the fact, that the two castles are very very small and look like normal houses, and that they are situated on such a place that just across a small river is one of the biggest factories I have ever seen with chimneys and smoke etc. The town was also not very beautiful and I got the impression that it must have once been a minig town.
