Best drive in Route 62
Route 62 is a national road going from the Western Cape to Port Elisabaeth. On the way back from the Garden Route to the Cape, we decided to take an alternative road to the N2 Highway. We took the Route 62 from Oudsthoorn. The route 62 is ideal for scenery driving. As it was less crowded than the highway we could pretty much stop anywhere and took some nice shots. The variety of landscapes was a bonus, from green valleys, mountains, Ostrich farms, vineyards and bush. The Route 62 is also called the wine route as it goes through many large areas of wine cultivation.
