Hogsback
Hogsback is one of those middle-of-nowhere places that you’ll love if you’re happy with your travel companions and can entertain yourself, but you’ll hate it if you need 24-hour distractions. Activities include hiking, eating, cycling and sitting in front of the fire. That’s about it. It’s incredibly beautiful and mostly peaceful and a locally known artist/Survivor SA contestant lives there. What about the name? Hogsback is named for the mountains – the ridges look like a bristly wild boar’s back, but that and the hand-made figurines sold along the road are the only hog-association!
