Rougher and safer parts of Edmonton
Edmonton is the capital of Alberta, with a population of about 1 million people. The city is reasonably safe when compared to a lot of North American cities, especially ones in the USA. There are three notably bad areas of town. 1 - On the north side along 118th avenue from 97 street all the way east to about 34th street. Stay away from hotels and accommodation in this part of town. 2 - The downtown area isn't too bad for the most part, but on the east side of downtown in the McCauley and Chinatown area there are a lot of rough characters, though it has been cleaned up a bit in recent years. 3 - Stony Plain Road between 149th street...
